This month we are excited to feature an incredible organization called Lamp Community Art Project.
Lamp Community permanently ends homelessness, improves health, and builds self-sufficiency among men and women living with severe mental illness by meeting each person where they are at in life and offering immediate access to affordable, safe and permanent housing and other supportive services without requiring sobriety or participation in treatment.
Lamp Community’s Art Project uses the process of making art as a mode of self-expression that has proven again and again to be therapeutic, to nurture a strong self-esteem, and to encourage stability through long-term engagement. Lamp members find and develop their artistic voice, build a body of work, become an active part of the community, and continually inspire others.
